They live in a little gray house in the dig woods. The family gets ready for winter by collecting food and supplies. One adventure is when the bears finish hibernating and come around their house. This book was fantastic because it was very interesting and you learned what it was like to live as a pioneer. I also liked how the other described things in the book. I didn’t like the middle of the book because it was a bit boring. I would recommend this book to beginner readers. I give the book a 7 out of 10. NATHAN.
